2 August 2013
Dear Mrs. Aczon,
I am pleased to learn that the Ocean City, New Jersey’s 4th Annual Tribute to the Philippines on 20-21 July 2013 was another big success as more Filipinos and non-Filipinos came to what has evolved as a special cultural-trade-tourism-medical event along the Jersey shore.
A big part of the success of this event during the last two years is the support and participation of the Filipino Executive Council of Greater Philadelphia (FECGP) and its member organizations, in particular the PC Youth, Mutya Philippine Dance Company, Philippine Folk Arts Society, Inc., Philippine Community of Southern New Jersey, St. Augustine’s Choir, Philippine Nurses Association of Pennsylvania, Philippine Nurses Association of Delaware Valley, and the Philippine Nurses Association of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.
The performances of the cultural groups and the medical services of the nurses groups of FECGP have brought a lot of excitement and interest to the Annual Tribute to the Philippines. In doing so, we are able to project a positive image for the Filipinos in the US and our homeland, the Philippines.
I would like to thank FECGP and its member organizations that have been a part of our Annual Tribute to the Philippines in Ocean City. I hope that you will continue to support this event in the years to come,
Mario L. De Leon, Jr.
