Filipina Beauties that graced our Philippine Independence Events.

CASSEY 2015 Cover

Penn State University was center stage in the life of Mary Cassandra Soriano Arocena. From its august halls and sheltered campus she graduated with a Bachelor of   Science in Nursing degree.  From her parents Angelo Santiago Arocena and Mary Lou Soriano she learned the value of family love, respect for others, dignity of work, loyalty to friendships and  compassion to those in need. She grew up with her older sister Mary Louise, also a Registered Nurse, (UPenn) and delights in family, cousins and friends.

Cassey is busy working at a mother baby unit in MedStar Hospital Washington, D.C. Transitioning a baby from intra uterine to post natal life has a profound impact on her. Cradling babies till they fall asleep, making sure they get their immunization before going home is all in a day’s work for her.

She loves to teach especially new mothers and fathers how to take care of their babies in a practical terms. She is a member of PNAPA . She is looking forward for the  Annual convention in Hawaii July 2015.

In her free time she goes camping and hiking with her closest friends . She loves to compose songs, play guitar, piano, and some drum. A true Filipina, she projects grace and quiet strength within her.   – by: Freddy Panes

Ana Katrina Guerrero |  Bb. Pilipinas 2012  <>  Ana is enjoying her time and the priviledge of being part of our Community representing our Council in the many events in our area and beyond. She is very active on her part in many physical, sports and academic activities and enjoy the time with her brother and sister.

Recently Ana was featured in the Burlington County Times as a Delran’s budding tennis star. With Roger Federer as her inspiration, she can be a tough cookie in the court.  The Times asked her:

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Ten years from now I actually see myself in the USAF as a critical care nurse. As much as I love tennis, I would rather play for fun than competitively; it would be very challenging and a lot to handle.

Beautiful Katrina is enjoying a year long reign as our Council’s “Bb. Pilipinas 2012″. She was crowned last June 2012 at the Independence Ball Gala Event held at the Radisson, Trevose, PA.

  1. Oh… this section is lovely. Can you have all the pictures of the BB Pilipinas of FECGP since the time it first started featuring Bb Pilipinas during the Independence Ball? Include also their profile as written on their journal. This will be something to look back on ..who knows …50-100 years from now. _ Gloria Pineda
