The UPMASA Delaware Valley Chapter will be presenting “The Brothers in Harmony” in concert November 8, 2014, Saturday, 2:00 pm at St. Andrews Methodist Church, Rte. 70, Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The concert proceeds will go to benefit the “Laptops for the Doctors to the Barrios Program” and Typhoon Yolanda victims in the Philippines.
The Brothers in Harmony Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society was originally chartered in 1983 as the Easton, Pennsylvania Brothers in Harmony. In 1997 the Brothers recruited Jack Pinto to be their Director. That began a new era and the Brothers have racked up numerous successive major accomplishments, the most recent of which was a 6th place finish at the 2013 International Contest in Toronto. The chorus relocated to Hamilton Square, New Jersey in 2009 to draw from a wider region- from Delaware to Philadelphia to North Jersey. Since then theyʼve seen a steady growth reaching 100 active members in July, 2014. Many members travel over an hour to be a part of this special organization. The Brothers are totally committed to excellence and look forward to more accomplishments. They have performed in Cherry Hill once. Their repertoire runs the gamut of the Beatles to Broadway in their unique a capella style. www.brothersinharmony.org
